B.A.C. Musical Instruments is a Kansas City–based manufacturer specializing in handcrafted brass instruments alongside a full catalog of student, intermediate, and professional-level woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Located in the historic 18th & Vine Jazz District, B.A.C. is one of only two brass instrument manufacturers remaining in the United States, building trumpets and trombones by hand for musicians around the world.
Our instruments are played by world-renowned artists including Trombone Shorty, members of Jazz at Lincoln Center, and touring musicians who perform with major pop artists such as Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, and John Legend. In addition to our handcraft line, we work directly with schools and programs nationwide to provide high-quality, affordable instruments without the traditional middleman markup.
Through our integrated ecosystem — including 825 Marching, RentMyInstrument.com, and the Virtual Booster Club — we help programs stretch their budgets, modernize rentals, and even earn free instruments through student participation.
